Strandveld Hiking Club 2024 AGM Minutes
The Strandveld Hiking Club recently held its 2024 AGM at The Birkenhead Boat Club. This inaugural meeting marked an exciting milestone, and we’re thrilled to share some key points:
Membership Growth:
• Active members: 155 (up from 94 in 2023)
• Membership capped at 180 to maintain the club's unique spirit.
Finances:
• Fund balance: R1,362 (started with R500 in 2023).
Hikes in Review:
• 11 hikes held in 2024.
• Proposal for two hikes per month in 2025.
No Pets Policy:
• This remains unchanged.
Name Tags:
• Reminder: Collect your tags and include emergency info on the back.
2025 Hikes:
• A fantastic lineup of routes, including Greyton-McGregor, Die Plaat, and Witvoetskloof.
