January 2024 Newsletter
“He who wishes to secure the good of others, has already secured his own.” - Confucius
Welcome to the New Year!
Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2024!
Creative Skills Factory is starting the year with a bang - a big event - for our recorder-playing Die Kop Youth Group who are mentored by musician, Manuel Jardine.
We are doing it again!
The children have been awarded the opportunity to play at the Cape Town Jazzathon in the Amphitheatre at the Waterfront again this year and on the 14th of January, we will be driving them to Cape Town for their performance.
They are just beyond excited!

Annual Concert
If you are in Cape Town on the 14th January, please come to see this wonderful annual concert.
We are asking friends and supporters if they could help by contributing to the cost of the transport, a wholesome lunch and delicious drinks for each of child on the day.
We want to make the day an extra special one for them.
Arts and Cultural Appreciation Programme
Our Arts and Cultural Appreciation Programme encompassing the music workshops is made possible by the support received from the National Lotteries Commission (NLC), the Western Cape Government's Department of Arts, Culture and Sport and the Amani Harmonic Foundation, as well as many generous individuals within our Community and beyond.
What's Next...
In order for us to grow our Arts and Cultural Appreciation Programme, one of our goals for this year, we need a bigger and more dedicated space for the workshops and rehearsals and to store all of the musical instruments.
Please will you contact us if you have a space available for us to use or, if you have any inspiring ideas on how we can grow our programme.
... it takes all of us - to make a bright, colourful and abundant future possible for the youth in our community.
