March 2026 Shout-Out | Rotary Club of Stanford
Every child deserves to feel proud when they go to school. Being neatly dressed not only builds confidence, but also helps prevent children from being teased or bullied for wearing clothes that are torn, too small or worn out.
With the help of generous donors, the Rotary Club of Stanford was able to provide school clothing to 95 children at Die Bron Primary School. The school has recently welcomed many new learners whose families have little or no income and cannot afford basic school clothes.
Each child received a personalised parcel containing:
• A pair of trousers
• Two shirts
• A pair of shoes
• Two pairs of socks
Although not every learner could be present on the day, there were plenty of smiles and heartfelt gratitude from those who received their parcels.
A special thank you to Mr Pedro and his staff for their assistance.
Our next initiative will be the Winter Warmth campaign, where we aim to provide jerseys, beanies and raincoats to help these children stay warm and dry during the colder months.
