Marianas
Our kitchen is on form and we are cooking already to open our doors on Saturday. We have made our annual pilgrimage to the Sandveld for herebone and this year we managed to buy enough to have some for sale in our deli section. We also have succulent spring shoulder of lamb from the Strandveld which we are braising slowly with a few herbs from the garden.
At Middelberg farm the new hens are laying at a pace so we can still have our delectable crème brûlée on the menu, thank goodness. We are playing with spring produce, what will be on the menu for the next month or so is still a mystery to us, but the broad beans are on track, they will definitely make their presence felt during September.
We will open on Saturday and Sunday this weekend and from next week we are open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for lunch, and no, we are not fully booked, please phone us on 028 341 0272 or book at marianas@stanfordvillage.co.za.
