The Rachel’s Angels Market Day

Beatenberg, Hemelbesem, London Louw and Tribal Echo of Kleinmond will be in the musical lineup for the event. Beatenberg took the album of the year award, won the title 'duo of the year' and scooped the best pop album accolade at this year’s SAMA awards. Louw was in the top 4 of Idols South Africa. Preparations are going smoothly and we are looking forward to a wonderful day of fun for the whole family (there will be a kids’ playground as well!). Everybody will be able to afford the low entrance fees of R20 per adult and R10 for younger adults with under 6s being free of charge. It will be a day to remember for the approximate 4000 people we are expecting.

A String of Beads Wordshop by Dorian Haarhoff

In the wordshop we will create a set of beads, assign meaning to each bead and string our words around this structuring device. The workshop also focuses on how to be present in your writing and engage the reader as a creative partner. The beads and words idea comes from Dorian’s pilgrim path walk in Norway mid 2014.

Penguin Plunge

The annual Penguin Plunge is planned for Saturday, 20 June 2015 - we would like to make this a spectacular event as this is the 5th year running that the brave Penguins jump into the ice cold Klein River (with shivering Chickens on river bank to encourage them!). Springfontein Estate will once again provide reviving Gluhwein and Hot Chocolate whilst Penguin Tutoring will make sure each 'plunger' gets their customary beaded penguin.
