Stoep of Stanford Hotel
Stanford boasts its own little Saturday morning market. Bring along a basket and buy your ready-made meals and picnic ingredients at the market. Find fresh breads, pates and prepared dishes, delicious decadent cakes and pastries, free range chicken pies and spring rolls, gluten-free quiches and cake, fresh farm grown vegetables, salads, heirloom seedlings, jams and chutneys. This week, Fiona will be selling goat’s cheese. Also available are farm eggs, pickles, mayonnaise, salsa, salad dressing, pinotage jam, fish cakes with rocket mayo and banting treats. Bryan will be selling salamis, etc. The Lettuce Co is taking a break. If you want to place an order directly, please sms 082 213 0512. They harvest Thursdays and will deliver on Fridays.

Springfontein Wine Barn Opening
Sunday, 18 October, 17:00
We open on 18 of October, and welcome everybody with a Glass of “Bowle” (German punch) from 5pm to 8 pm (with Live Music). The Barn will be open daily from 11am to 9pm except Thursdays. Wine tastings, Wine Sales, Glass of Wine in front of the Fire Place, come together with friends, taste the German Farm Kitchen, Menu will change every 8 to 10 days.

Stanford MTB Night Rides

Sir Robert Stanford Estate
A couple of us ride every Tuesday and Thursday Nights. We shuffle between 3 different routes all +- 26km in distance. Nothing technical so all riders are welcome. One flat route and two with about 400m of climbing over the 26km. The more the merrier. We get together at Sir Robert Stanford Estate parking area (also known as Madre's Kitchen Parking area) at 18:00 and leave at 18:10.
