There’s nothing better than hearing about a fabulous new restaurant and then discovering that it absolutely lives up to its reputation and more. This is definitely the case with Manor House Restaurant, a country-style eatery just 10km from Stanford.
The restaurant is situated on Stanford Valley Guest Farm and on arrival, one is greeted by uninterrupted views of the Akkedisberg mountains and rolling green lawns. The interior is just as stunning with amazing art and mid-century pieces in a rustic old farmhouse setting.
Expect superb, hearty comfort food served up by chef Madré Malan and her team. We had a really wonderful lunch and have been raving about it non-stop since then. Definitely a worthwhile weekend meander.
