Betty’s Bay Visitor Cycling the World 55,000 km
Did you see the man from Japan?
Three years ago, Japanese art teacher Naoya began the journey of a lifetime, cycling across the world’s continents in pursuit of his dream. Since then, he has cycled more than 55,000 kilometres.
Recently, he passed through Betty’s Bay on his way to Cape Town, where he met Johan Steyn. Johan showed Naoya what local Overberg hospitality is all about, and took him to visit the penguins at Stony Point, then joined him on a hike up to the waterfalls.
From Cape Town, Naoya will fly to Turkey and then cycle across Asia back home to Japan, where he plans to write a book about his amazing journey.
We wish Naoya safe travels! Thanks, Johan, for sharing this amazing story!
