Census 2022
Statistics South Africa will conduct a population and housing census, Census 2022, from 2 February to March 2022.
Households and institutions are required to register to be enumerated and select the data collection mode in which they want to be counted.
A census collects data about a country's socio-economic dynamics - people's living conditions, access to basic services, income, etc. Census data is used for planning, monitoring and evaluation.
