White Shark Projects: Swop Shop - Recycling for a Brighter Future
White Shark Projects Swop Shop Kicks Off 2025 with 130 Children and a Revamped Space.

The first Swop Shop of 2025 was a huge success, with 130 children eagerly participating, trading recyclable waste for essential items like school stationery, toys, and clothing.
The initiative, run by White Shark Projects, continues to instil environmental awareness and community support by encouraging children to exchange plastic and glass waste for much-needed supplies.
During the holiday break, the Swop Shop received a revamp, with new shelves installed and fully stocked with fresh items. The first event of the year saw an overwhelming response, proving that recycling can be both impactful and rewarding.

Jessica Smit, Owner and CEO of White Shark Projects, was present, along with the dedicated team that ensures the Swop Shop runs smoothly.
With support from the local municipality, bags of collected recyclables were efficiently removed, with trucks working overtime to handle the volume.
This initiative not only helps the environment but also provides a tangible way for children to access essentials, reinforcing the importance of sustainability, responsibility, and community support.
