Service Project - Thank You Luna!

We are indebted to 1st Hermanus Sea Scouts troop for the investment of time, energy and resources to rework our head-office gardens.

In pursuit of her Springbok Scout award, Luna Celliers coordinated the project. Luna consulted with us in the design phase and then coordinated the Scout workforce to execute the project. The Scouts also secured donations of many plants and a huge load of wood-chip mulch for the garden.

The Springbok award is the highest award achievable by any Scout in South Africa. Luna had to identify a need in the community - either to the movement, community or environment. She then had to draw up a plan to fulfil this need. The total 'Service Project' had to include at least 40 hours involvement by the candidate. We are so grateful that she chose us as the beneficiary.

Thank you Luna and your Scouting team, Baden-Powell would have been proud!
