Position Overview: As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing their Quality Assurance Program. Working closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation of programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Role: Quality Assurance Officer
Location: Hermanus, Western Cape
Salary: Market-related
Key Responsibilities:
• Quality Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections and assessments of production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Program Implementation: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to implement and maintain effective quality assurance programs.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, generate reports, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of solutions.
• Training and Development: Assist in the training of staff on quality assurance procedures and standards.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring the company's compliance with relevant requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Food Science, Quality Management, or related discipline). (Other like B.Ed will be considered)
• Proven experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in the food or aquaculture industry.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and quality standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to write professional reports in English.
• Experience in training would be preferred.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Certification in HACCP or PRP.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
