Catch Nolundi Nonono Live on Cape Town TV
Nolundi Nonono, a rising artist from Hermanus, will showcase her unique vocal talents live on Cape Town TV between 16:00 to 17:00 on Wednesday, 24th July 2024. Blending rich Afro-pop with traditional African sounds, Nolundi's performances are a testament to her extraordinary talent and hard work.
Her musical journey began at Lukhanyo Primary School where she recognized her gift. Since 2018, she has honed her skills with the Spairo Art Foundation. This partnership led to a standout performance at the Baxter Theatre where she performed the song “Hdoyika mna.”
Nolundi continues to rise following her victory in the 2023 Star Search Overstrand finals. Over the past year, she has gained recognition through the youth arts development program run in collaboration with Creative Skills Factory NPC and Star Search Overstrand, including opening the prestigious FynArts Festival. She is part of a Zwelihle collective that has five upcoming local concerts, including the Kalfiefees in early August.
Auditions for the second annual Star Search Overstrand begin in August and conclude on 6th October as part of the Stanford Festival of Community Arts.
