Remhoogte Estate Wines Now in Stock
When winemaker Chris Boustred decided he wanted to be more creative with wine in the cellar, the family came up with the 'Free to Be' range which allows him more freedom. Not always using grapes from the estate, they sometimes buy fruit in so the cultivars for each vintage of 'Free To Be' can vary, and this year they offer these 2 wines:
'Free to Be' Weisser Riesling: the nose has granadilla, grapefruit, peaches and lemons. With a smooth entry, it all comes together - juiciness with limey acidity and a lengthy finish.
'Free to Be' Carbonic Syrah/Petit Sirah: dark berries, ripe plum, liquorice and fennel on the nose lead to chalky tannin with a gentle dryness that counters the fresh fruit and brings length.
