The newly opened Manor House Restaurant at the Stanford Valley Guest House is the perfect foodie destination – it’s on our list of the best restaurants in Hermanus! The super-stylish furniture and décor, carefully curated by co-owner Elsabe Nauta and sourced from vintage, antique and junk shops in Cape Town and Stanford, creates the perfect canvas for enjoying a lovely meal, with views over the paddocks towards the Akkedisberg Mountains.
A warm fireplace greets visitors on cold and rainy days – a perfect welcome and well worth the 30-minute drive from Hermanus. The modern country-style food is beautifully prepared and presented by consultant chef Madré Malan (formerly of Madre’s Kitchen in Stanford) and her culinary team.
