AN EXCITING UPGRADE AT OUR SCHOOL
Richard, our Chairperson, replaced our old, rusty steel swing with a super new one. Thank you, Richard - for nearly 3 months, the kids were unable to swing and they are enjoying their new swing so much.
DONATION OF SOCKS FOR OUR KIDS
A lady from Cape Town donated 2 pairs of new socks for each child. She has been donating regularly for some years now. The kids were so excited, especially with winter approaching.
DENTAL CHECK-UP
Chanel, the Dental Hygienist from the Overstrand, visited our school and checked all the kids’ teeth. She first explained to the kids why they have to brush their teeth, what to eat and what they should not eat and then showed them how to brush their teeth properly. She was very impressed and we were very proud of the fact that she didn’t find any kids with unhealthy teeth. This is because we encourage the kids to brush their teeth daily at school. Thank you, Chanel, for visiting us.
40TH ANNIVERSARY OF CHILD WELFARE, KLEINMOND
On 25 March, we celebrated CWK’s 40th anniversary. Each stallholder had to sell different items to raise money for our schools. Our stall sold jaffles and waffles with ice cream and ice cream cones. Unfortunately, the weather did not play ball and the sales were not that good.
