It was a milestone birthday for Zaan recently and unbeknown to her a party was arranged at the school by the Chair of the Board with cakes and candles and all the trimmings. It was a very happy occasion because it was a party for Juffrou Zaan and - because she means so much to everyone there.
The end-of-year concert will be performed on Monday evening - you will hear all about it later but a lot of work has gone into getting everyone word perfect and many hours have been spent sewing costumes and painting scenery. We can't wait to watch the performance!
Meanwhile, the school programme has continued smoothly. Attached are some photos of a few of the tasks recently tackled by the older class: illustrating a story, completing a counting exercise, joining the dots by number and then using scissors and glue to decorate.
The rooster kindly donated to the school is settling down at last. He is such a handsome fellow - we are hoping for a love affair in the parkie - and some fluffy yellow chickens to open our children's eyes to nature's miracles.
