While you are at it you are probably putting a few things aside to give away. Rationalising is, I believe the nice word for it. It certainly sounds much less like hard work.
If so, Pikkewyntjies Preschool would be most grateful if you would give them away to their second hand shop in Village Centre. It is managed by Gloria Lange and her team of volunteers and the school depends on the shop for financial support.
You can find it on the same passage as Sandcastles Estate Agency at the Village Centre, anyone can tell you where it is.
The shop always needs stock. I was talking to a shop owner once who told me that if a customer walks into a shop with bare shelves they are immediately put off buying. I found that fascinating but I've been on the alert since then and I've found it to be true.
We'll take anything and everything but at the moment, there is a special need for:
- Bed linen
- Cutlery
- Crockery
If you are not able to deliver donations to the shop, please contact Gloria to arrange collection from your home:

Thank you with all our hearts in anticipation of your support of the shop and therefore the school and our children. Confident, happy girls and boys brought such good school reports to show their first teachers at the end of last year, it was affirmation - again - of the role Pikkewyntjies is playing in a community trapped in disadvantage. Graduates of the little school in Mooi Uitsig don't feel disadvantaged because they can hold their own with the most privileged child in the school.
