Thank you to Neil of BOVS Services / Dienste
One morning while Louise was busy in the kitchen preparing lunch for the Pikkewyntjies, the faithful fridge gave an alarming shudder and died.
Consternation followed, Juffrou Zaan was called as she always is in emergencies but although she can turn her hand to many things mending fridges is not one of them.
Now the collapse of the fridge is something of a calamity because it is an essential part of the feeding scheme especially as it is often cheaper to buy in bulk. Our kids eat whatever is put in front of them with great appetite but sour milk, especially pasteurised sour milk is pretty foul.
The issue that always flashes into everyone’s head when something breaks is always first and foremost - where will the money come from to fix this. All the school’s friends were alerted and the call for help went out on the network. Somehow, somewhere, in the spirit of kindness and concern this community shows our little children, a warmhearted Overberger heard of our need and stepped forward
Our benefactor is Neil of BOVS Services / Dienste who specialises in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Microwaves. Not only did he repair the fridge free of charge but he collected it from the school and returned it too. It is back in its spot in Louise’s kitchen humming contentedly.
Thank you, Neil, for saving the day, I think you know how very grateful we are. The kids would thank you too if they knew it was your generosity providing the sweet milk on their porridge when they get to school each morning. For some of them, they have had nothing to eat since lunch the previous day and they go back for second and third helpings.
We hope you enjoy the thought when you eat your own breakfast.
