Pikkewyntjies Second Hand Shop
The Pikkewyntjies Second Hand Shop is very, very important to the school since the proceeds pay the salaries of two members of staff.
We are lucky to live in a community which supports the shop by donating goods in excellent condition and by shopping there. Anyone who hasn’t visited the shop might be surprised at the quality and variety of what’s on offer. We are also extremely lucky that a team of volunteers gives their time and talents to make the shop a nice place to visit and to have, as is always the case when an enterprise runs on oiled wheels, an exceptional person heading up the team.
The shop has always been tucked away at the end of a passage in The Village Centre in Betty’s Bay and recently when the tenant gave notice, the team moved up a shop to take advantage of the light and of being closer to the hub of things.
The photos were taken on the opening day.
PS: You can access the shop one of two ways:
EITHER
Turn off Clarence Drive at The Village Centre. Follow the passage down the stairs and turn right. You’ll see the shop.
OR
Turn off Clarence into Porter Drive (at Jack’s Cafe) follow the road to the parking lot below The Village Centre. The walkway of the parking lot will take you to the shop.
