Pikkewyntjies Classwork
Covid precautions are still in place at the school but do not need to be as strictly enforced as before because the danger of infection is less. This is a great relief to both the children and the teachers who found the masks very inhibiting during class time. (Don’t we all feel cut off from those around us because we can’t see people’s expressions?)
One can feel the happier, more relaxed atmosphere as the children engage with the tasks that are before them. Louise too is contentedly preparing 40 odd breakfasts and lunches every day instead of 270 and her blood pressure is under control once more.
Here are some busy children in Juffrou Zaan’s class - enjoying a challenge and the satisfaction of completing it.
