IN LOVING MEMORY - ROBBERT HEIBERG
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to one of our big supporters and donor. He and his wife Heather has been with our school for years, collecting and bringing the stuff all the way from Claremont. What was broken he fixed. My dear friend, we will dearly miss you, but your pain and struggles are gone now. We know that you will be in God’s loving arms and smile down upon us. Thank you for everything you and Heather have done for our school and children.
HAPPY THINGS AT SCHOOL
Karen Christian - from Sharing Joy, visited our school on Mandela Day and brought so much joy to our kids. They all got a headphone and then the fun started. She played music, talk to them, and had so much fun with our kids. They dance, sing along, and did some exercises. Thank you Karen for the joy that you brought to our kids.
LAPTOP DONATION
Wayne Jackson got a donation of 10 laptops. 4 of the laptops were donated to our staff to work on to search for activities for the children. The other 6 we are using for the Mooiuitsig children to do their assignments for school. They will also get training on how to use different programs on the laptops. This is such a big help for them due to the fact that they never had a facility to use except for the Library on Clarence Drive. Unfortunately, they close early, and on rainy days they can’t get there. Now we facilitate them in the Gr. R classroom from 15h30 till 17h30 daily, because the Community Hall has not been fixed - we have been waiting for 5 years now. Thank you, Wayne, and to the donor.
MINI SCIENCE LAB
I have organised for the mini-science lab to visit our children. They came all the way from Gauteng. I wish you could all be here. The kids loved it and they are still talking about it. Look at these little faces that just show amazement.
MORE SPOILING
All the kids and staff received some nice winter caps.
