New and Upgraded Facility of Hermanus Recycling

Did you know that our materials recycling plant was destroyed during the riots in Hermanus in July 2018 and a new facility was completed and started operating on 8 November 2021?

What We Do

Hermanus Recycling is a materials recycling facility that deals with recyclable items collected from an area that covers the greater Hermanus region. As the contractor for the Overstrand Municipality, Hermanus Recycling is the collection point for all clear bag recyclable products which get sorted manually to be distributed to repurposing plants throughout South Africa.

Running about 80 tonnes per month, Hermanus Recycling processes plastic, paper, cardboard and glass at the MRF, and also accepts drop-offs by the general public.

For more information, contact Hermanus Recycling.
