PROactive Reveals Plans for New Gym Upgrade
Many of you have been asking what is happening behind the massive wooden wall at the end of our gym floor. Well, here is a look at what’s going on!

The team from TPD Construction is hard at work demolishing two large internal walls to make way for our brand-new free-weight area. These men are working hard to help us reach our goal of having everything ready by 10 December 2026.
A big thank you to TPD Construction for the hard work and effort!
So, what will the new space look like? We’re excited to share some early design images created by local architect Llewelyn van Rensburg from LP Arch.
Llewelyn is not only a talented young architect but also a successful South African discus athlete who has trained at Proactive for many years. We approached him to help us design the new free-weight area and improve the layout of the entire gym floor.
The new layout will give us more floor space and make the gym more practical and enjoyable for everyone.
These early images show the basic layout before the equipment and people are added. Some details may still change as we work towards our planned reveal on Monday, 14 December 2026.

We’re excited about what’s coming and can’t wait for you all to see the finished space!
Thank you to Llewelyn, TPD Construction, our team and all our loyal members for being part of the Proactive Fitness family.
As Llewelyn reminds us: “Failing to plan is planning to fail!”
We’re planning to succeed!
Watch this space for more updates!
