Dr. Liesel Trollope opened the Whalecoast Animal Consulting Rooms in 2010 and since then has earned a reputation as being highly knowledgeable when it comes to caring for all creatures, great and small. Dr. Trollope has her consulting rooms in Gansbaai and treats patients in the town as well as in Stanford, Hermanus and the surrounding areas. Other than dealing with animal medical issues, a Doggy Parlour and Pet Food & Accessory Store are also run from the same premises.

Liesel was born in Pretoria where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Science with Zoology and Genetics as majors. Thereafter she completed her Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science in 1998 before moving to the Western Cape. After taking a break from Veterinary Science in 2002 and studying at the Wine Academy in Stellenbosch, she received her certificate in Winemaking. Liesel then studied Human Iridology and now practices Animal Iridology.
Dr. Trollope is also highly qualified in the field of wild and exotic animals such as snakes and owls and has a number of qualifications in wildlife management. This dynamic Doctor has also established the Overberg Raptor & Owl Sanctuary which is a non-profit organisation and is a very proud supporter of the Rhino Pride Foundation.
Dr. Trollope is a highly talented dancer with extensive training in various dance and exercise forms and occasionally offers dance courses for men and women.

Dr. Trollope's trusted right hand, Yasmeen Khan, runs the Doggy Parlour which offers bathing, dipping, nail clipping and all the other added extras to make your four-legged friend look like a canine movie star.
