The Agulhas National Park donated two 5 ton truck loads of braai and fire wood to the Buffelsjagsbaai Community. The park arranged refresher chain saw training and as a spin off cut wood for the planned Mandela Day outreach programme. Thys Ahrends and Arnold Viegeland personally coordinated and delivered this donation on 17 July. This gesture fulfils a great need as it is in the heart of winter.
On Thursday 18 July the ANP team consisting of P & C, Conservation, EM's, Tourism Trainees did book reading, story-telling, interactive games, handing out a variety of posters, booklets and other goodies to the school and library.
The community were very thankful for this gesture and the kids and staff enjoyed the activities.
