Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Moderate
Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Cape fur seal + Short-tailed stingray
Summary: No swell in sight made the day start the right way! Excited for another day out at sea we headed out to our dive site. Calm sea and warm temperatures where a plus. A bit of unexpected rain on the second trip did not let anyone down and the excitement stayed until the very end! The Bronze whaler sharks did not let us wait long as they arrived almost instantly after our arrival. While the divers where in the cage Bronze whaler sharks were actively investigating our divers in the cage until Short-tailed stingrays took over for a moment taking the spotlight. On our first trip we had a Cape fur seal passing by and on the second trip two spouts of Bryde’s whales were spotted on the way to the Harbour granting an idea about the beauty of our bay!
