Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Short Tail Stingray, Bronze Whalers
Short tail stingray spent with us pretty much the whole trip!
And we had stunning bronzies coming in numbers.
What a beautiful sighting especially when the water is almost 19 degrees!
Beautiful bronze skin shimmering in the sun.
Very special day with bronzies coming up nice and close.
Can see the teeth and also the nictitating membrane that covers the eyes.
Stunning creatures!
The Bronze Whaler sharks appeared quickly for our second trip and the activity continued nicely throughout the afternoon.
Our guests didn't hesitate and jumped straight into the cage once the sharks were around.
This Short-tail stingray appeared for a few passes giving our guests a nice view under the water.
Before heading back to harbour we made a quick stop by Geyser Rock to see the Cape Fur seals.
And our last stop along the way was to Dyer Islands Sponge bay and some of its African penguin inhabitants.
