Recipe: Double Decker Chicken Burger
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 Hamburger buns, sliced two bottoms and one top
- 1 Chicken fillet, cooked and sliced
- Tomato slices
- Gherkin slices
- Lettuce, shredded
- OK Mayonnaise
- OK Tomato Sauce
- OK Chutney
- Salt, pepper, parsley and chilli flakes
METHOD
1. Spread bun bottom with mayonnaise.
2. Garnish with tomato slices and shredded lettuce.
3. Add chicken fillet slices.
4. Spread another bun bottom with mayonnaise on both sides and place on top of the chicken.
5. Add some sliced gherkin, more chicken slices and shredded lettuce.
6. Top with tomato sauce and chutney and season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley and chilli flakes.
7. Close burger with bun top and serve with hot chips and mayonnaise as a dipping sauce.
Chef’s Tip:
Keep the stack together and upright with sosatie or little bamboo skewers.
