Recipe: Sticky Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
- 16 chicken wings
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 thumb of ginger, grated
- 50 ml soy sauce
- 50 ml honey
- 50 ml sweet chilli sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- juice of 1 lemon
- sesame seeds, toasted (optional)
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Combine all the marinade ingredients in a large bowl. Add the chicken wings and toss to evenly coat.
3. Put the marinated chicken wings in the oven, reserving the leftover marinade.
4. Baste and turn the wings at 10-minute intervals.
5. Cook the wings for 45 - 50 minutes.
6. During the last 5 minutes, baste the wings one last time, and grill skin side up until deliciously crispy.
7. Remove from the oven, sprinkle over toasted sesame seeds and serve with your favourite coleslaw and fresh bread rolls.
