Recipe: Traditional Mac & Cheese

INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups OK macaroni, cooked
- 1 1/2 cups white sauce, easy béchamel*
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, grated to taste salt and black pepper
*Easy Béchamel Sauce
- 3 tbs butter
- 3 tbs flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk, heated
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
METHOD
1. Mix cooked macaroni and white sauce.
2. Spoon into oven proof pan or dish.
3. Season with salt and black pepper, to taste.
4. Top with grated cheddar cheese.
5. Bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly brown in places.
6. Serve hot!
*Easy Béchamel Sauce:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
2. Stir in the flour.
3. Whisk in a little of the milk at a time, stirring continuously until you have a smooth, slightly thick sauce.
4. Remove from the heat and season with salt and pepper.
