“The Cape Whale Coast is touched by cool ocean breezes, kissed by the warm African sun, and surrounded by tranquil country living. It is here that grapes are turned into world-class wine.”

The Cape Whale Coast wine region can be found a two-hour drive south of Cape Town. The region is one of South Africa’s premier wine-growing areas and its sprawling wine estates and small boutique wineries are waiting to be explored by you.

Gansbaai Wine Tours invites you to sit back and relax while your hosts Barbara and Wynand Vermeulen take care of the planning and transportation of your wine adventure.

Barbara is a qualified tour guide and her love for the Overberg and its wines adds to her professional, knowledgeable and friendly service. Wynand shares Barbara’s passion for wine, as well as crafting beer and distilled products which he lists as his hobby.

"Gansbaai Wine Tours, what an incredible experience! Your professionalism, friendliness and in-depth knowledge of the wines as well as your obvious passion for the Overberg region made for a memorable experience. Thank you Wynand and Barbara for creating a unique wine-tasting experience to suit our specific needs and budget. Our visitors from Kenya, Zambia and Joburg were blown away and are now huge fans wearing their Gansbaai Wine Tours t-shirts. We will be back."  Patricia Menge
“I am a resident of De Kelders, Gansbaai but employed abroad. I have made use of Gansbaai Wine Tours on several occasions and found them to be fantastic. Booking the tour is a breeze and you can pick your destinations. They collect you at home and drop you at home again which is always a better idea if you go to wine tastings. Their vehicles are comfortable and clean. Whenever I receive guests, Gansbaai Wine Tours is one of my must-do treats for them. I highly recommend them for an informative, safe and fun outing.”  Lourens Jansen van Vuuren
