Langbaai Beach Overview:
Langbaai Beach is known as the secret beach of the area, and is more of a secluded cove, albeit a long one, thus the name (loosely translated from Afrikaans, Langbaai means Long Bay). Please note that Langbaai Beach has limited parking and the steps leading to the beach area via the cliff path.
Tricky access means that visitors to Langbaai Beach can enjoy the sunshine, soft sea sand, and salty spray of the ocean without sharing the space with hordes of tourists or locals.
The beach is nestled between two rocky outcrops, which ensure relative protection from the wind. There is plenty of beach sand for little ones to run around and build sandcastles on or for parents to read a book and catch some rays (sun not manta). The rocky area at Langbaai Beach is always fun to climb and explore. This beach is also a stunning spot for a romantic picnic at sunset.
