1ste 2025-kompetisie begin goed

Saterdag, 7 Desember 2024 se boothengelkompetisie van die Birkenhead Boothengelklub was die eerste kompetisie vir 2025, aangesien die seisoen vir die klub jaarliks voor die Jaareindfunksie sluit. Mooi visse, asook snoeke, is gevang en die hengelaars het nou reeds begin om hulle posisies vir 2025 vas te maak. 

Kompetisie-uitslae:

5 bote het ingeskryf, waarvan al 5 ingeweeg het. Die totale bemanningslede was 17, waarvan 2 dames was en 1 ‘n junior - ‘n goeie begin vir 2025. 6 spesies (114 visse) is ingeweeg, met 'n totale massa van 96kg. Die gemiddelde massa per hengelaar was 5.65kg.

Swaarste vis, Marinus Kleyn (snoek, 3.15kg); 2de Swaarste vis, Walter Mapham (snoek, 2.8kg); Swaarste sak Mans, Joe Smit (9.4kg); 2de Swaarste sak Mans, Walter Mapham (9.1kg); Swaarste sak Dames, Anita Vermeulen (5.4kg); 2de Swaarste sak Dames, Joey Rademeyer (1,2kg); Swaarste sak Juniors, Ruan Langley (7.6kg); Swaarste bootgemiddeld, WaCa van Carl Dyer (7.73kg); 2de Swaarste bootgemiddeld, Scarma van Kenny Owen (6.28kg).

1ste 6 Visvangkampioene Dames:

Visvangkampioen Juniors:

Ruan Langley (7.60kg).

Nou wag 2025 se maandelikse kompetisies op die hengelaars, met ‘n gereelde wipplank-ryery waar dit by die kampioene in die onderskeie kategorieë kom.
