Gansbaai Youth Gain Valuable Workplace Skills

This is the group of young people from Gansbaai who completed 3 days of Employability Training this week to prepare them for work. Next up, they will prepare for interviews in order to be selected for workplace experiences where they will have the opportunity to earn a daily stipend while learning on the job. This is a great bridging programme to help matriculants enter the world of work.

This is a group of staff members from Cape Nature reserves across the Cape. They spent the week at the Grootbos Environmental Centre where they completed a Housekeeping short course to develop practical skills.

This is a group of Green Stewards who work as independent contractors in the landscape. They take on contracts to clear invasive plants from areas of conservation value. Today, they began a process of self-evaluation using a tool developed by the Greenlight Movement to monitor their personal, financial and family progress.

The hospitality students attended the Business to Business Hotel Expo at the CTICC in Cape Town. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to learn about another side of the hotel industry.
