Endangered Micro Frog Brings Hope After Wildfire
Our parting shot this week is from the conservation team that has been keeping a close eye on the greater landscape as it has been responding to the change in season. It turns out that even the smallest, most threatened creatures in our landscape are resilient to appropriately timed wildfires. The endangered Micro Frog (Microbatrachella capensis) was spotted at Groot Hagelkraal in the conservancy. This wetland area was burnt in January, so all the growth you see here has taken place since then. Doesn't this fill you with a sense of hope?
