Sharks Help Counteract Global Warming

Did you know that sharks help to remove carbon from the atmosphere!?

Not only this but they are also considered swimming carbon stores, with their bodies consisting of 10-15% carbon. When sharks are caught during fishing practices, this carbon is released into the atmosphere. When they die naturally, they will sink to the bottom of the ocean where the carbon is sequestered and not released into the air.
