A Pearly Beach angler was standing on the beach with his rod one day, watching the perlemoen poachers at work in the water. Wise to their ways, the angler just watched and prepared to cast.
Suddenly heard a loud noise and to his surprise a police helicopter landed close to him. Two pilce officers dismounted and walked up to him.
Wanting to be helpful he showed them where the poachers were working, but they showed little interest. They said they wanted to speak to him. "What about?" the angler asked.
“We would like to see your angling licence," one said.
"My angling licence?" replied the mystified angler, producing the required document. "And what about those poachers? Are you going to nab them?"
"No," came the nonchalant reply.
"And why not?"
"We don't arrest them on Sundays..." replied the cop, got back into the helicopter and flew away.
