Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Broadnose sevengill shark, Cape fur seal
Summary: A successful day on the water with plenty of marine life to keep us company at the dive site! With a stronger breeze, we made our way out of Kleinbaai to the shallow waters of the dive site. The Bronze whaler sharks were the first to arrive, with females of varying shapes and sizes offering up close sightings for those in the cage. Following on, 2 additional elasmobranch species were next to arrive; the prehistoric Broadnose sevengill shark and impressively sized Short-tail stingray. We were also treated to sightings of the Cape fur seal, topping off our sightings for the day. Thank you to everyone who joined us today!
