Panthera Africa is a Non-Profit Wild Cat Sanctuary situated just outside Stanford that provides many big cats with a second chance at the life they deserve.
They are a true sanctuary; meaning that they do not breed nor do they promote interaction with the animals. They stronly believe in educating people about the truth behind the canned hunting and tiger bone trade industries.
Panthera Africa is a safe haven for big cats to enjoy the remainder of lives in a protected & peaceful enviroment.
The founders , Catherine Nyquist & Lizaene Cornwall ‘s dedication and unconditional love for animals, inspires each and every one who visits Panthera. A must if you are traveling to the Overberg!
Not only does Panthera do amazing work in the field of animal protection, they opend their hearts to the LEAP Project, where their volunteers have spent many hours helping with activities and entertaining the children. This year they are one of our generous sponsers for the Annual Baardskeerdersbos Christmas Party hosted by the Skills Exchange Co-oprative (SEC) and the Baardskeerdersbos Community Development Organization (BCDO).
Thank you Panthera Africa!!! Your kindness & support are engraved in our hearts forever.
The children are endlessly grateful and we looking forward to working together in the future. For the love of all our animals & our youth.
Please contact Panthera to make a booking for their very uplifting & educational tours.
