Shark Fact Friday
A sharks' mouth is highly effective and suited for the job it needs to do, with the help of those teeth and jaws. Much of the focus on a white sharks' mouth is directed towards their teeth whilst the jaws themselves do not always get much attention. However, sharks have a unique jaw structure, different to most animals in that the upper jaw is not fixed to the skull.
This allows them to push their entire mouth forward when feeding to grab hold of their prey.
