One for Gansbaai and its PEOPLE.
"and the people of Gansbaai exude a warmth that London cannot provide"
Perfect ambiance, delightful hosting, spectacular views, excellent food!
I'm a little puzzled to have read the review from the guy a week ago who seemingly was just having a bad day/life and took it out on The Blue Goose.
I am a volunteer at International Marine Volunteers and we all came for dinner on Friday. We received a warm welcome and the first thing that strikes you upon being seated is the warm ambiance of the restaurant with the fire, decor, and topped off with a view of the bay created by the Gods.
Service was exceptional and time was taken throughout our evening to make sure we were ok and well catered for.
Menu selection was varied with each person in our group (meat eaters and a vegetarian, from 4 different countries) having plenty to choose from.
I chose the sesame honey prawns which were delicious, followed by a steak and red wine. Steak + red wine + South Africa = heaven!
The food did not disappoint and I would have no hesitation in recommending The Blue Goose. We dine out a lot in London but of course, they do not have Gansbaai views, locally sourced seafood, and steak, and the people of Gansbaai exude a warmth that London cannot provide. The Blue Goose I salute you!
