Herberg-aan-See Bazaar in Gansbaai on the 6 August 2022
The countdown has begun to this year’s Herberg-aan-See Bazaar which will be held on the 6th of August at the Pretorius Saal on the grounds of the NG Church in Gansbaai.
Annual Incentive To Help Our SASSA Elders Who Need Assisted Living
Every year since 1995, Herberg-aan-See’s residents, staff and Goue Hande fundraising incentive get together with the local community get together to host one of the best bazaars in Gansbaai, and quite possibly the Overstrand.
All the funds generated are used to supplement Herberg-aan-See’s SASSA residents. Just to highlight what being a SASSA pensioner means: if you are a pensioner under 75 you get R1,980 per month which gets increased to R2,000 per month if you are older than 75. Let that sink in before we continue… what would you do with your R2,000 per month, where would you stay? What would you eat?
If a SASSA pensioner who has no assistance from family has made it into the Herberg-aan-See system as a government subsidised patient, they still need to be looked after and fees need to be met. Meals have to be eaten and care needs to be administered. This year, Goue Hande, Herberg-aan-See’s fundraising incentive is working even harder than before to raise funds to invest in a structured investment plan that can gain interest which will then be used to subsidise its SASSA residents. Stability is essential in growing an intake quota for those who need it most, and Herberg-aan-See takes its role as a place of safety for the elderly, seriously.
Local Is Lekker - Live Entertainment!
For years a special attraction at the bazaar has been the “Oom” who makes the music happen! And this year is no different! Eddie Barnard will be getting the local vibe going with favourite golden oldie hits and a few current favourites to get you in the shopping mood.
