Learning to be comfortable and the importance of being kind to yourself
Do you know how to be truly kind to yourself? Do you know how to have patience, love, compassion, and tolerance for yourself? Or do you constantly criticize yourself, ridiculing yourself for not being better or knowing better? Do you look in the mirror and see only the “shortcomings” in physical appearance?
We live in the wider world that which we live within. We expect the world to treat us the way we treat ourselves. We ask the world to give us acceptance and tolerance. We ask to be respected and recognized.
How will you recognize it if it is not familiar in your everyday life?
The stress under which we place ourselves through our self-criticism, our self-rejection, and our self-hate eventually leads to illness. Stress can kill you – so ask yourself, what do you contribute to your stress?
Take a moment and ask yourself if you can be kinder and more loving to yourself. Ask yourself what that life would look like. Now ask yourself what you are prepared to do to achieve that peace, love, joy, happiness, acceptance, recognition, tolerance, and patience. Are you ready to be kind to yourself?
