Temporary Road Closure

Temporary road closure of Strydom Avenue and Kolbing Street up to George Grey Street in Genadendal due to roadworks.

The upgrade of Strydom Avenue and Kolbing Street up to George Grey Street is in the surfacing phase.

This phase requires the road to be temporarily closed during certain times of the day for prime to dry and to allow surfacing.

The roads will be closed in sections from today (Thursday) until Saturday (06 August 2022), to allow for surfacing work to be completed.

The contractor will do their utmost best to provide access for community members residing on those streets at night.

Theewaterskloof Municipality apologises for the inconvenience and disruption caused by the project; however, this is pivotal in the process to reduce gravel road maintenance and ensuring drivable and quality roads.

For any enquiries regarding the project please contact Jody Louw or Curt Lodewyk on 028 214 3300.

We thank you for your patients and cooperation.
