Die groep entoesiastiese stappers van die Strand-Veld Stapklub en die Kleinmond Stapklub, besig met die Klipgat Wandelpad
Gansbaai se Strand-Veld Stapklub en die Kleinmond Stapklub het op Donderdag, 10 Oktober so stap-stap hande gevat. “Etlike lede van die Strand-Veld Stapklub was verheug oor hulle stapvriende van Kleinmond wat saam met hulle die volle lengte van die Klipgat Wandelpad kom stap het,” vertel Mimi Wixted. “Any excuse for a walk!” Die 20 deelnemers het hul voertuie by die staproete se beginpunt in Gansbaai hawe parkeer en om 07:45 begin stap. “The weather was slightly cloudy which made for cooler walking. Otto Boysen from Strand-Veld Hiking Club pointed out some of the local sights, but the highlight of the walk was provided by the Southern Rights lazing just off shore - many of the Kleinmond Hiking Club members had never seen whales so close up,” het Mimi gesê. Die staptog heen en weer het sowat 6 ure geduur, met stoppe by die Klipgatgrotte, Duiwelsgat en Die Plaat vir ruskanse, verversings en middagete.
Notice can be taken of the following: The Strandveld Hiking Club will be traveling to Kleinmond for our next scheduled hike on Saturday, November 2, to conquer the Fairy Glen Trail. We will meet at the Tourism Office in Gansbaai at 07:00 a.m. and drive to Kleinmond. Cost is R 50 pp.
