“If you feel uncomfortable giving out your home address, a post office box is the solution for you,” says Mike Olien, head of the box division at the SA Post Office. “You can have your mail delivered to a private box at your local post office where you can collect your mail at a suitable time.” Have you renewed your postbox yet? The South African Post Office would like to remind our customers to renew their boxes before the end of January 2014 for the year ahead. The annual fee is R339.00. Some of the benefits of renting a postbox include:
• Security of mail Only you and/ or the people authorised by you will have access to your postbox.
• Permanent Mailing Address A postbox is great for people who move regularly. If you’ve ever relocated, you know the pain you go through changing your mailing address for bills, bank statements, magazine subscriptions and annual renewal notices. A postbox reduces this problem by cutting down the frequency required to change your mailing address every time you move.
• Affordable Prices Fees for postboxes are normally inexpensive. The annual rate for a postbox is only 93c per day.
Make sure to renew your postbox before the end of the month to avoid the suspension of service.
