The AGM of the Pearly Beach Conservancy was held on Tuesday 17 December 2013 and was well attended. The guest speaker, Sean Privett, gave a very interesting talk with the topic diversity, rarity and ecology and he ensured that everybody will look differently at fynbos after this fascinating talk.
The following office bearers were elected:
Jason Stonehewer – Chairperson;
Elrina Versfeld – Vice-Chairperson;
Susanne Fuchs – Secretary;
Beatrice Bollman – Assistant Secretary for membership;
Gerald Henrici – Trea-surer;
Members – Heilie Mostert, Hans Steyn, Anneke Potgieter and Rosie Garcia.
A very successful craft market day was held on Saturday 21 December 2013 on the village green next to the Herbarium with such a good turn-up that it might as well become an annual event. Many thanks to Beatrice who was responsible for all the arrangements.
