Endangered Cape Platannas Discovered in Green Corridor Near Agulhas
What might look like a tray of chocolate frogs is actually a pair of Endangered Cape Platannas! These fascinating amphibians are smaller and more pointed than their cousin, the Common Platanna. They inhabit fynbos wetlands from the Cape Peninsula to Cape Agulhas.
Our dedicated conservation and research team has recently made an exciting discovery - good numbers of Cape Platannas at the eastern end of a green corridor near Agulhas. This area is revealing some intriguing pattern variations, adding to our understanding of this elusive species.
