Creative Calm with the Fynbos Explorers
The Fynbos Explorers made mandalas this week - a creative and peaceful process that children adore!
Each child received a large circular sheet and began crafting a mandala pattern, starting with a paper flower placed in the centre. From there, they built intricate patterns and designs using lines, shapes, and a vibrant array of colours. It was a quiet, focused session, filled with concentration and creativity.
At the end of the session, each child went home with a beautiful, unique mandala and a small treat for the holiday.
This group enjoys the creative process and learning how to nurture their own natural creativity. They also learn concentration, fine motor skills, listening skills and how to calm themselves down individually and collectively. This is another way for them to access the power of nature.
We are grateful for the quality of this creative programme developed by Creative Skills Factory for Grootbos Foundation children.
